Polls open tomorrow at 7 AM and close at 7 PM. If you voted early, you’re done. If you’re going Tuesday, your closest locations are Georgetown’s Rec Center on Rockride Lane or the Georgetown Public Library on West 9th Street.
Then the fun part starts.
Where results get posted
Williamson County posts live results at results.wilcotx.gov — that’s your bookmark for the night. The first batch usually drops around 7:15–7:30 PM and includes all early voting ballots, which in a high-traffic primary can represent 70–80% of the final vote. After that, Election Day precincts report in waves.
Don’t refresh every 30 seconds. Make dinner. Check back at 8.
Georgetown races to watch
The Texas House District 136 Republican primary has been the most-watched local contest this cycle, with multiple candidates making pitches to a Georgetown base that’s grown dramatically — and gotten more competitive — over the past decade. HD-136 covers a big chunk of Georgetown proper, and whoever wins the primary is likely heading to Austin.
Williamson County Commissioner precincts are also on the ballot depending on your precinct. Check your sample ballot at the Williamson County Elections site if you’re not sure what’s on yours.
On the Democratic side, statewide races — Governor, Attorney General, U.S. Senate — will be the main event. Georgetown leans Republican but the margins here have tightened since 2020, so watch Williamson County returns as a bellwether for Central Texas suburban drift.
What the numbers mean
If no candidate hits 50% in a contested primary, the top two go to a runoff in May. That’s happened in several local races in recent cycles, so don’t be surprised if tonight doesn’t deliver a clean winner.
