Tomorrow is Election Day. The Williamson County primary is Tuesday, March 3, and if you’re a registered voter in Georgetown, this is your guide. Don’t skip it — local races shape your daily life more than most people realize.

When Are Polls Open?

7 AM to 7 PM. If you’re in line by 7 PM, you’re allowed to vote — don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Where Do I Vote?

Georgetown is in Williamson County, not Travis County. Head to the right place:

Enter your address to find your assigned polling location. Williamson County uses countywide voting centers for primaries, which means you can vote at any open location in the county — not just your assigned precinct. That flexibility matters if you’re near a more convenient location.

What’s on the Ballot?

This is a primary, so voters choose party nominees for the general election in November. Depending on your party registration, you’ll see:

Williamson County Commissioner Races County commissioner seats shape road funding, emergency services, and land use policy across one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas. These races matter.

School Board Races Georgetown ISD and other local school districts have contested seats this cycle. If you have kids in the local schools — or care about the community’s future — pay attention here.

What to Bring

Valid Texas photo ID is required. That means one of the following:

Expired IDs may be accepted if they expired no more than 4 years before Election Day. If you don’t have qualifying ID, you may be able to cast a provisional ballot and present ID within 6 days — but it’s much easier to just bring your ID.

Important: No Same-Day Registration

You had to be registered by February 1st to vote in this primary. If you’re not registered, you can’t vote tomorrow — but you can register now for the November general election. Do it at vote.org.
